Today, am celebrating Bishop Cardinal John Onaiyekan. Yes! he is now a Cardinal. He is one of my fav men of God, so am excited about this.

Cardinal John Onaiyekan.

Recollection of Today: 100 Steps Atop Jos Town

Hi people!
I had a great day today, and i hope you did too.
You see, i live in Jos, the beautiful capital of Plateau State; though i have been in this city for about five years now, and think that i know lots of interesting places in the town, everyday, i get to find of new cool, natural places.
My friend, Ricahrd Ali( a sweet sweet human being and fantastic writer; the author of City of Memories) has being showing me such cool, natural places. He introduced me to a unique bar and restaurant situated in the Jos museum, on an old, abandoned train where you can get delicious moi moi wrapped in banana leaves... The place has this calm beautiful ambiance, here, one can just sit down and forget you live in the city... He also took me 100 steps atop Jos Town. This is actually a mountain that has 100 95(we counted today) built steps to the top built by the Afizere people of Plateau State. Heard its their cultural site. They do their coronation there and lots of other cultural activities.
Today, we hanged out in that restuarant and later climbed that moutain. It was fun and exciting and you totally missed. But off course, you can go tryout this place if you are in Jos or whenever you come to town.
That's all i have for today. Thanks for dropping by, Love you.

ME, before climbing.

RA, monkeying spider manning. lol!

My Favorite Poem of All Time

Hello people! Good to know you stopped by today again, thanks.
Today is one of those really boring days for me. No sparks, no ideas, nothing. On days like this, when am really bored and all quelled up into my shell, i love to read myself my favorite poem of all time, Maya Angelou's Phenomenal Woman, and off course, am sharing it here, now.  If you have seen this poem before, read it again. If this is your first time of seeing this great poem, am glad i introduced it to you. It boosts my morale anytime, any day. It will do same for you;especially if you are a woman and more so if you are the type that feels herself like i do. Hehehe! You will like this one.

Phenomenal Woman

By Maya Angelou

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms,
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It’s the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.

Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
I say,
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing,
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need for my care.
’Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.

Recollection of Yesterday: I had a Sex Request

Note: I wrote this yesterday but couldn't post it,i even thought i had deleted it but saw it in my draft box,so here we are.

Woke up with a nagging headache today. But am not surprised at this headache, as a matter of fact, i knew it would come. I also don't feel like writing this post and its not a surprise either cause i know myself well, and i know i like to run away from this kind of discussions, but i will share this, anyway.
For my headache, i had a 'bad' day yesterday. For my not wanting to share this, its because of the 'hushed' nature of the topic am about to share with you.
My yesterday was bad because of a very simple but shocking sex request i got from a friend of mine. Yes! you heard me right. A sex request.
I really struggled hard, trying to convince myself not to share this, but i keep having recollections of this very event and the thought has refused to go ( by the way, that is part of the reason for my headache, have been thinking since this incidence ) .
Ok. lets do it this way. i will try re-create the scene for you.
Me and my friend(male) were hanging out in a very beautiful and natural mini open air threatre at the Jos museum and the following conversation ensued
My Friend: What will you be doing on Saturday?
Tongryang: Am not sure. Why?
My Friend: Lets arrange for a date
Tongryang: Where?
My Friend: We get a hotel or something
Tongryang: Shockingly silent or silently shocked. I felt one of the two...
There was an uncomfortable silence between us after then. For me, i was trying to take in what that implied. I wasnt sure what he was thinking but after a while, we started conversing again, off-course not in connection with our earlier conversation. Then again, (i cant remember exactly what came before this) but he asked me when we are going to have sex, or something like that. In shock, i kept quite again.
I didnot know what to say to him. I had no idea that sex could be requested that way. I didn't know its something you can arrange to do, like that.
Am going to be honest; sex, outside marriage,is forbidden for me as a Christian. Its called fornication. I know that, but i will be lying if i said i had never had it before(God forgive me) but then, i will also be lying if i said, it was ever arranged or negotiated or anything like that.
Am totally shocked by this request and am wondering if there are guys out there who ask for sex this way or girls who have been asked this way. Share your experience with me oh here in the comment box, let me broaden my knowledge in this area.*winks* I love learning.

Good Old Days

Aloo people! How did your day go today? I hope it went well like mine... I had an experience today that took me dawn memory lane, and that is what i will be sharing with you today.
Was watching TV in the parlour today when Popsy (the bestest guy in the whole world) came in. He sat down and removed one of his shoe and then, he turned and saw me looking at him(i don't know why i was looking). And suddenly; like he just remembered, he stretched forth his second leg, and i just came and removed the second shoe. As i bent to remove it, sweet childhood memories just rushed back...
I remembered how me and my brothers used to struggle to catch his leg (like our lives depended on it) when he comes back from work, to be the one to remove his shoes. He would just sit down and stretch his legs-like he did today- and the lucky two-for he has only two legs and we were three then-will remove the shoes and take it to the room. It used to be so much fun growing up. Life used to be so much better, there used to be so much laughter everywhere, with lots of sharing and loving.
I remembered my little neighborhood too, somewhere around Polo Club in Sokoto.
How in the evenings, people will just gather outside;gisting, yabbing, laughing and living life.
Now, i dont get get to see those kind of scenes anymore. Is it because i have grown and don't take note of such simple treasures or is it because it has been replaced by fear, suspision and violence.Or is it because we have 'grown' as a people and feel we no longer need to laugh and love anymore? Hmm! i don't have answers to my questions oh, i don't know if you do? The only thing i know is that i long for those good old days. Life was simpler, easier and fun, and i wish we would just go back to the way we used to live, don't you?
If you read this and you remember any fun memory of you growing up that you feel we have lost, and you will like to see again, do share with me oh, here on the comment box.
Thanks for dropping by today again, love you.

Yes! Am back

Yes! am back. Have been away writing my final exams and rounded up this morning. Am ma graduate now. No be big deal oh for so many people but for me, its a big big deal and i owe it all to God almighty. There are millions of Nigerian youths out there who graduated from secondary school the same year i did and are out there, still praying and hoping to get into the university. I got admission. God kept me through school in the University of Jos, through all the crisis, tension and bombings. I mean, God has been faithful and i thank Him...
During my absence from this blog, the brutal and unjust killing of those four young University undergraduates( Tekena, Lyord, Chiadike and Ugonna) happened in ALUU Rivers State.I tried to write something about it earlier, but could not find the words to express the pain and shock that gripped me as i heard about their story. Up till now, am not yet over the shock of the reality of the death of those promising guys. When i first heard the news, i felt really bad but when i mistakenly(for i said i wouldn't look at it) came across the pictures of their humiliation and death on facebook, i was devastated. I cried soo hard my chest hurt. I started to ask myself questions; what have we become in the country, where has our humanity gone, what has happened to the humans in us?...
Today makes it a week since they were killed, but the pain is still fresh for me. I wonder what  there families would be going through, i wonder how they would be able to live with the knowledge that their loved ones were humiliated to death. Hmm! I pray God comfort them with His comfort. Am more worried that up till now, no body has been arrested and am scared this will just pass like Akpo 6 killings(remember?). Well, i really hope the government will take appropraitee measure to punish those involved in this gruesome act. May there souls rest in peace, amen. I pray this kind of thing never happened in this country again.
See, surviving in this country has become a huge privilege cause lots of odds are against us;the government, fellow citizens, boko haram etc so whenever you find yourself breathing, always always thank the Lord ok!
I think i will stop here for today, am so full of thanks to God for making me a graduate and my mum is making cow stomach peeper soup for me, you know, to celebrate mua asper first graduate of the house. Hehehe. no be small thing oh. Cant wait to go savour it, you are free to join me oh, if you can locate me.
Love you. Am out.

Complete text of President Goodluck's Independence Address to the Nation

Hi people! for those of you who missed the president's address to the nation earlier today, for whatever reason, i got it for you from Linda's blog to savour. Its very long, i must warn. Toh! lets get started.
 God Bless Nigeria.

Beloved countrymen and women, on this day, fifty-two years ago, our founding fathers brought joy and hope to the hearts of our people when they won independence for our great country. Nigeria made a clean break with more than six decades of colonial rule, and emerged as a truly independent nation. That turning point was a new beginning for our nation.
Those who witnessed the lowering of the Union Jack and the emergence of the Green White Green flag continue to relish the memory, because that ceremony was not just about the destiny of a nation, but the future of a people.
That future is here; we are the inheritors of a great legacy that goes even much farther into the past.
The worthy patriots who made this possible were young men and women in their twenties and thirties. They worked together to restore dignity and honour to the Nigerian people. Their resolve united a multicultural and multilingual nation of diverse peoples, with more than 250 distinct languages and ethnic groups.
In 1960, our diversity became a source of strength, and the new leaders resolved to carry the flag of independence for the benefit of future generations. They had their differences, but they placed a greater premium on the need to come together to build a new nation.
It is that resolve, and that glorious moment that we celebrate today. We also celebrate the patriotism of our heroes past: Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Michael Okpara, Chief Anthony Enahoro, Herbert Macaulay, and several others who made the case for our independence.
We remember as always, their contributions to the making of the Nigerian nation, and the efforts of their successors since 1960. We also celebrate the unfailing optimism and resilience of Nigerians who remain proud of our national identity.
On this special day, I call on every Nigerian to remain steadfast, because our nation is indeed making progress. I call on every Nigerian to rediscover that special spirit that enables us to triumph over every adversity as a people:
We weathered the storm of the civil war, we have refused to be broken by sectarian crises; we have remained a strong nation. I bring to you today, a message of renewed hope and faith in the immense possibilities that lie ahead.
Fellow citizens, I have an unshaken belief in the future of our great Country. I consider it a priority and sacred duty to continue to strengthen the bond of unity that holds our nation together and to promote and nourish the creative energies of our people. This is a central objective of our administration’s Transformation Agenda. Nigeria, I assure you, will continue to grow from strength to strength.
Since I assumed office as President of our dear country on the 6th of May 2010, I have continued to work with our countrymen and women to enhance our nation’s growth and development.
Our vision is encapsulated in the Transformation Agenda. We are working hard and making progress on many fronts. We have cleaned up our electoral process; our elections are now globally acclaimed to be free and fair. Nigeria is now on a higher pedestal regarding elections.
Over the past five years, the global economy has been going through a weak and uncertain recovery. During the same period and particularly in the last two years, the Nigerian economy has done appreciably well despite the global financial crisis. Nigeria’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has grown by 7.1 per cent on average.
It is also significant that the GDP growth has been driven largely by the non-oil sector. In pursuance of the main goals of the Transformation Agenda, a number of reforms and initiatives are being pursued in key sectors of the economy with a view to consolidating the gains of the economic growth.
Our country’s power supply situation is improving gradually. We are successfully implementing a well-integrated power sector reform programme which includes institutional arrangements to facilitate and strengthen private-sector-led power generation, transmission and distribution.
We have also put in place a cost-reflective tariff structure that reduces the cost of power for a majority of electricity consumers. I am pleased with the feedback from across the country, of improvements in power supply.
We are continuing to improve and stabilize on our crude production volumes; our 12-month gas supply emergency plan, put in place earlier this year, has produced more than the targeted volumes of gas for power generation. A robust Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) has been placed before the National Assembly. Its passage into law will ensure far-reaching reforms, transparency, accountability, increased government revenue and predictability for investors in the Oil and Gas sector.
Several government programmes and projects are creating wealth and millions of job opportunities for our youth and general population. Such programmes include: You-Win, both for the youth and for the women, Public Works, the Local Content Initiative in the Oil and Gas Sector, and the Agricultural Transformation programme.
We have improved on our investment environment; more corporate bodies are investing in the Nigerian economy. Our Investment Climate Reform Programme has helped to attract over N6.8 trillion local and foreign direct investment commitments.
Nigeria has become the preferred destination for investment in Africa. It is ranked first in the top 5 host economies for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Africa, accounting for over 20 per cent of total FDI flows into the continent. We have streamlined bureaucratic activities at the ports to ensure greater efficiency in the handling of ports and port-related businesses. Specifically, we have drastically reduced the goods clearing period in our ports from about six weeks to about one week and under. We have an ultimate target of 48 hours.
We have put in place, a new visa policy that makes it easier for legitimate investors to receive long stay visas. We have achieved a 24-hour timeline for registration of new businesses, leading to the registration of close to 7, 000 companies within the second quarter of 2012.
The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has disclosed that, as at July 2012, 249 new members across the country had joined the Association, and that capacity utilization has also improved. The multiplier effect of this development on our job creation programme cannot be over-emphasized.
In the last two years, we have put in place structures for an upgrade of the country’s health sector, to promote in every respect, the individual citizen’s right to quality, affordable and accessible healthcare.
In this regard, we are devoting resources under the Subsidy Reinvestment Program (SURE-P) to reducing malaria incidents, dramatically reducing maternal and child mortality, and eradicating polio.
Fellow Nigerians, in recent times, we have witnessed serious security challenges in parts of our country. We have taken pro-active measures to check the menace. This has included constant consultation and collaboration with our neighbours and other friendly nations on issues relating to internal and cross border security, and the sharing of information on smuggling and illegal dealing in small arms and light weapons.
Our security agencies are constantly being strengthened and repositioned for greater efficiency. Many Nigerians have acknowledged that there has been a significant decline in the spate of security breaches.
While expressing our condolences to the affected families, let me reiterate the commitment of this Administration to ensure the safety of lives and property of all Nigerians.
Even as we remain focused on the issue of security, the fight against the scourge of corruption is a top priority of our Administration. We are fighting corruption in all facets of our economy, and we are succeeding. We have put an end to several decades of endemic corruption associated with fertilizer and tractor procurement and distribution. We have exposed decades of scam in the management of pensions and fuel subsidy, and ensured that the culprits are being brought to book.
In its latest report, Transparency International (TI) noted that Nigeria is the second most improved country in the effort to curb corruption.
We will sustain the effort in this direction with an even stronger determination to strengthen the institutions that are statutorily entrusted with the task of ending this scourge.
I have given my commitment of non-interference in the work of the relevant agencies and I am keeping my word. What we require is the full cooperation of all tiers of government, and the public, especially civil society and the media.
This Administration has also introduced for the first time in Nigeria’s history, a Performance Contract System for all Ministers, and other officials of government. This is to further place emphasis on performance, efficiency, and service delivery.
Fellow Nigerians, our determined efforts on several fronts not-withstanding, our country still faces a number of challenges.
Those challenges should not deter us. In the last few weeks, for example, many of our communities have been ravaged by floods, resulting in the loss of lives and property, and the displacement of persons.
I want to reassure all affected Nigerians that I share in their grief, and our Administration is taking steps to address these incidents, in collaboration with the States and Local Governments.
I have received the interim Report of the Presidential team that I set up to assess the flooding situation across the country.
The Federal Government has taken measures to assist the affected States, while considering long term measures to check future reoccurrence.
We must continue to work together, confidently and faithfully, to ensure that our country’s potentials are realised to the fullest; that our dreams are translated into reality; and that our goals are achieved.
Let me reiterate that our administration is committed to the pursuit of fundamental objectives of an open society: the pursuit of freedom, security and prosperity for the Nigerian people, and the rule of law.
In the next few days, I shall lay before the National Assembly the 2013 Federal Budget Proposal so that deliberations can commence in earnest on the key policies, programmes and projects that will mark a decisive year for our development and transformation.
I have no doubt that by the time I address you on our next independence anniversary, many of our reform efforts would have yielded even better results.
Over the years, several leaders have built on the foundation laid by our Founding Fathers. The baton is now in our hands. Let me assure all Nigerians that we shall not fail.
I am confident that Nigeria will continue to be a source of pride to its citizens; to Africa and the Black Race and to humanity; a land that is known for progress, freedom, peace and the promotion of human dignity.
May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. May God bless you all.

Independence Day Thought

Hippy!
Its our independence anniversary and we ought to be celebrating, singing, dancing and counting our achievements as a nation, as a people, but from the look of things, we are not.
I listen to 'analysts' on radio and TV and all i hear is how we are on the wrong, how we have done the wrong things and gotten the wrong results.Almost every Nigerian know what is wrong with us Nigeria,(as if Nigeria is one distant desolate place and not who we are and where we occupy. mtchhheew! I turn to the social media, the same thing is going on, this time, only worse, cause its the youths, the supposed leaders of today, that churn out insults, hate words and curse on Nigeria, instead of standing up to do something, no matter how little to better the lot of this GREAT country.
To be honest, i do not blame Nigerians for saying negative things and feeling distant from their own country. Nigeria is a blessed place by all standards, rich in human and natural resourceful and all citizens ought to be enjoying this blessing of God, but that is wishful thinking as a few individuals are bent on making that remain so, a dream that may never come to pass, if Nigerians do not do something about it. Nigerians have suffered and are still suffering not much from lack of resources as  from lack of good governance and abundance of bad leadership. Because of that singular singular reason(lack of good governance), i join other Nigerian citizens to say this 52years is a 'waste' because after all these long years, we have 'nothing' to show for it.
That, however, is where my similarity with most Nigerians stop. I have hope, most of my country people do not. i see a better tomorrow, most of them don't. I am contributing my own quota, majority of my country people don't. Yes! i see a better future and i believe better days are far ahead. So i urge you to become blind to the countless things that are going wrong and see the bigger picture, but i must warn, there will be no bigger picture, no brighter tomorrow if we remain our corrupt, tribalistic, selfish old self.
For there to be any change or better still, if we desire to enjoy the blessings that God has heaped on us, we must have a change of attitude, we must become responsible for our actions and inaction as citizens of this GREAT country.
Lets stop the hating, lets stop the cursing and start the changing.
Think right, talk right and act right.  Happy Independence anniversary people.
I love 9ja but God loves her more.

Recollection of Today: Am truely sorry

My day went so well, only there is something that i did that am not proud of right now. I flipped at the bank today. I came into the bank and as the 'standard practice' with queues in Nigeria, i asked if someone was behind the last person i meet on the queue and he told me one person was behind him. I then left to fill my withdrawal booklet. When i came back, i meet one man behind the one i talked to earlier, i then asked the man i met earlier if it was the 'one person' he told me was behind him, and he said yes. After about 20mins, with just 3people before i get to the cashier, one man came and said he is behind the man directly in front of me. i told him nobody told me about him but was about to let him enter when another one appeared and said he too is in front of me.  I then stood my ground and told them what happened when i came, but they said they must enter and i became angry and started shouting at them in the bank. Now, am writing this because after what happened, i started feeling bad, i shouldn't have lost my cool but unfortunately i did, and i shouldn't be sharing this here but my friend who listens to all my gists isn't available and i needed to share, so i decided to share with you. The thing is, i didnt intend to shout at those men but i did, and am feeling sorry right now and they are not available for me to apologize, so i pray aloud, oh Lord! wherever those men are tonight, touch their hearts to forgive me cause am truly sorry, Amen.

Recollection of Yesterday: Pandemonium at UniJos Permanent site

Hi Sweeties! How are you all doing? Its been about 10days since i last posted.  I have really missed you and i know you missed me too *winks*. Seriously, i have been busy tidying up my project and getting ready for my final exams which begins on the 2nd of October. (Pray for me oh).
I had to post this because the event keeps replaying in my mind's eye. In my 4 year in Unijos, this sort of thing has never happened even with the occasional crisis and bomb eruption in Jos city.
Yesterday, my department was conducting her elections under the library in permanent site when suddenly, two guys wearing red T/shirt in black trouser came and started shouting, not far from the election point. Immediately, everyone started running for dear life and then the attackers ran off and students started pursuing and stoning them. In the process two female students were injured, including Imo Uju, a 100level student of my department (English Department) ( God heal Uju quickly, amen). The attackers were caught around Abuja hostel and students beat one of them to death and the other one was taken away by security agents.
I have heard that the attackers are cult members but am not sure, the only thing am sure of is that i don't want to ever witness such a thing again. God save us. Amen

Dear Neighbour

Dear Neighbour,
I hope you are doing great today?
Thoughts of you just crossed my mind and i thought i should write you this letter.
I just want to thank you for being such a good neighbour and great friend to me. I look back at my life and i see you were always there for me, thanks.
As i look back also, i see all these years that you wanted me to be perfect and fit that little, sweet, fantastic image you have created in your mind for me and i see that i have always fallen short of that. I used to beat myself up, fight with myself and blame me, for being unable to meet up with your image of me. I used to try, but you never take note of my effort.
As a matter of fact, the more i tried, the more i failed.
I can't continue trying to be that person you want me to be, not because i can't keep trying, but because i never will be able to be that person, i can only be me.
I am Tongryang, full flesh human, with short comings and imperfections, but beyound that, i am a good human being, who strives to be the best i can be, who try to touch the lives of as many people as i can touch.Am created to create positive impact and to serve God through that. That is what i am doing.
Dear neighbour, i have discovered who i am and am being true to myself. Can you also try to discover who you are and do the thing you were created for? Yes! off course, i know you can. So dear, instead of concentrating on finding fault with me,( cause trust me you will always find them) why dont you try discovering yourself, that way, you wouldnot even have time for me.
I didnot intend this letter to be long, i just wanted to tell you i never will be able to be that person you want me to be, so just let me be and find a way of being you. Lets be true to who are and the world would be a better place.
I have to go now. Take care of yourself.
Love you.

Yours Truly,
Tongryang.

Lets Celebrate Us

Hi People! Its bright and beautiful day and i hope you are all doing great like i am. Woke up feeling soo Nigerian that i thought to myself, why dont i write about Nigeria today? Why not, i answered back, so lets go there.
Well, with the present security situation in the country, anyone would be tempted to begin a negative discussion about Nigeria. About how corrupt we all are, how shameless and utterly bad our leaders are, and so on and so forth. Yes! all of that dey, that is why Chinua Achebe rightfully noted in his Essay, The Trouble with Nigeria, whenever two or more Nigerians are gathered discussing, you can be sure they are talking about the sorry state of the Nation. I think we or at least, i, have heard enough of that, so i will be celebrating those little things that make us tick as Nigerians, which we hardly see as virtue and never celebrate.
We are a strong people, who survive daily, conditions that others die under. We love life, difficult as it is, and we live life to the fullest. We are a happy people, whose laughter is always deep, sonorous betraying the hardship we go through. Nigerians are givers, we share even the little we have, celebrate with one another and mourn together in times that call for such. We are a beautiful people, full of talents and potentials, working to harness both, even in the most grueling circumstance. We are a people who never give up, never look down or harbor regrets. We make mistakes, yes! we fail countless times, yes! but it does not deter us. Individually, collectively, we have move on. We are hard workers, we work and survive under hard circumstances. We are battling with insecurity, ahardship, poverty and disease but yet we are so hope full that one day, just one day, we would get better as a people and our country shall take its rightful place in the committee of Nations.
God bless Nigerians,
God bless Nigeria.

Recollection of Yesterday: Meta fiction style

Note: I wrote and published this post at around 12:30-1am today, but just discovered it did not upload, so i re posted it.

Hi people! Great to have you stop by to check this blog at this time, i appreciate. I know what i want to do right now, i want to write this post and upload, but i also know i dont exactly know how to put what is on my mind in order, but i will try. Now that reminds me of a course i took last semester called Studies in Fiction where i learnt the approach to Fictional writing called Metafiction. When you write a metafictional novel, you are at liberty to express your thoughts in the story, you can intrude and give your own opinion about the characters you are creating and situations, you can just tell your readers that you are stocked and dont know how to continue writing the story and so on. I like that approach and when i decide to write a novel someday, it will be metafiction. But for now, let me do Meta blogging, lol, if there is any such thing. Am simply saying lots of things on my mind, i dont know where to start from.
Okay! let me start this way. I have been thinking lately about the Plateau state Northern senatorial election slatted for later this year-not sure of the timing, but its going to be pretty soon-which will produce a new Senator that will occupy the vacant seat created by the death of  Late Senator Dantong in the upper chamber. When i heard of the untimely death of the Senator, i thought to myself unconsciously; that the next person with the highest vote after Senator Dantong, during the election that took him to the upper Chamber, will automatically become the senator to represent the people of the Northern zone. But that my thought was so wrong. It only shows i know close to nothing about our constitution, abi na politics now.
I realized this when i started seeing posters of candidates vying for that seat around town. The big surprise for me, is number of people actually vying for this position:  Col Dungs, GNS Pwajok, Chris Giwa, Pam Wash, Lumunba Adeh, Danladi Atu and a couple of others that i cant remember their names, right now, even though i have seen their posters. This race for power just kinda remains me of the vanity of life; once you are dead and gone, you become forgotten-especially when you don't create an impact in people's lives and the society- and life simply goes on.That is what is happening, Senetor Dantong is dead and gone, and life is simply going on...With the number of people vying for that position, it looks like it is going to be a long hard battle for these guys as they struggle to occupy the dead man's seat. *Irony*
Huh! i managed well i guess, that has been on my mind for days now, and i finally found a way to say it. The other thing on my mind, is this blog. In my post yesterday, i wrote about an idea i conceived that will take this blog to the next level, remember? and i said i wont share, you will only see the manifestation of the idea. Well! am glad to announce that you will be seeing it really soon. Just watch out. And i wrote about how someone complied to me that he cant post a comment on this blog because his comment will not upload whenever he tries? Well, I have fixed that problem, so i use this opportunity to encourage you to drop your comments here whenever you drop by this extra-ordinarish blog, let me know how am faring *winks* am curious.
Other things dey my mind oh but right now, i gotta catch some sleep, besides this post is becoming extra-ordinarily lengthy, so i will take a bow here and rest. See ya all later ko. One Love.

Is Fuel Scarcity Looming in Jos?

On my way home from school yesterday, i noticed a long queue at the Oando Filling Station just beside Mr Biggs at Polo and i thought, it is one of those things-people trying to get fuel for running around town tomorrow- but after passing longer queues this morning, on my way to school, at different filling Stations in Town, i became curious. I decided to post this, to find out if anyone knows the reason for the long queue at Filling Stations in Jos town, including NNPC Mega Stations at Bauchi Road and Secretariat Junction. Is fuel scarcity looming in Jos or anywhere else in Nigeria?

Women's talk: Hot Red Flow

Hi people! How you all doing?
I stayed awake to post this at this time cause what am about to share, happened twice to me at about this time recently. Hahahahaha! am laughing cause i dont know how you will take this post oh. Its a personal matter, abi let me say its gender matter, take the correct one out of the two.
Now, to the real matter. This thing I want to talk about, always causes trouble for we women- trouble, in the sense of worry, if it delays, pains, if it comes. By now,you should know where am heading, Yes am talking about that hot red flow that comes out of us monthly. For those who think this isnt a topic one should write or talk about publicly, AM SORRY OH! its the way my own has been coming lately that prompted me to write about it oh.
When my own started, years ago, it came without any pain or sign, and i managed alone, all by myself for a very long time before anyone knew. Then years after, it started coming with pains, i really havent got the words to describe that kind of pain till date, i only know know it happens just pelow my abdomen but i know women know what am talking about. Then somtimes, my b--bs will become heavy and terribly painful and at other times, both will happen. That is how it has being, till, i think about three months back.

For these months in question, it begins in the middle of the night and immediately it drops, i will wake up to pains, pains and pains and wouldn't be able to sleep again and even the next day, i would have to battle to really hard be useful to myself. Same happened yesternight and the pain was intense that i describe it as intensely intense, and it came around twelve am or there about. The timing and the pain just got me wondering because it never used to keep to time, today it will come before hand and next, it will come way after, but now, it has decided to be keeping date oh and even time, i just don't know whats up with it. That is why i decided to share.

4 long days

Hello people! its been four long days since i posted. Huh! how i missed doing this. Lots of things happened to me during this long period that caused my absence, but i would only be sharing the good news- i survived it, thank God. That is all i can say. Plus i have a fantastic idea to take this blogging experience for both you and i *winks* you know, to the next level.  I wont share the idea, you will only see its manifestation, trust me, its gonna be the bomb. No fear oh, no be Boko Haram bomb oh, lol. I mean, its gonna be tight. Just keep dropping by always. Love you all.
